At The Neighborhood Garden Project, we cultivate garden spaces where people have room to breathe and grow. Together, we share in the rhythms of the soil and seasons, where relationships deepen, restoration begins, and life finds its way forward. We invite you to walk with us.
The Garden…
Our gardens are open spaces and welcoming to all who want to slow down, place their hands in the soil, and reconnect with what matters. They are relational and community-driven, shaped by the shared work of many and guided with care by a garden steward.
Whether you have years of experience or have never planted a seed, the garden is a place to come as you are. There is no pressure to know what to do. You can simply be, watch, and learn at your own pace. Even the skeptical or uncertain will find the soil has a way of making space for everyone.
Each site includes raised beds, educational plots for shared work, community plots for families and individuals, perennial, medicinal, and herb plantings, and spaces designed to nurture both people and plants. Automatic drip irrigation helps sustain the soil, creating a steady rhythm of care.
We welcome every age and every level of experience—from children discovering seeds for the first time to adults finding their way back to the soil. The garden is a steady place to learn, to breathe, and to share in the quiet joy of tending what is real.
The garden has something to offer anyone who is willing to be present and engaged.
Children find wonder in simple things—running through the plots, climbing trees, chasing butterflies, or pulling a carrot from the soil for the very first time.
Adults find something just as meaningful—resting on a garden bench, sharing stories with neighbors, learning new skills in the soil, or simply breathing a little deeper away from the rush of daily life.
Families work side by side, neighbors connect across raised beds, and those who arrive unsure or inexperienced soon discover that the garden itself becomes the teacher.
